Victoria, BC is one of my favorite places to visit, and The Rebar Restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine while there. Located in Bastion Square in downtown Victoria, Rebar is a  feast for the senses, the vibrant, eclectic decor is the perfect backdrop for the fresh, innovative menu. Rebar offers everything from wheatgrass to chocolate brownies, and the vegetarian entrees are second to none.

I received my copy of the rebar cookbook from my mother while having a birthday meal with her at the restaurant.
Now I can enjoy a taste of my favorite city and its fabulous restaurant while at home!

This book is full of original recipes and ideas by authors Audrey Alsterberg and Wanda Urbanowisc.  The food is prepared from fresh good quality ingredients as well as fabulously creative and tasty. The recipes are vegetarian with Vegan options. This book is great for entertaining as well as everyday, although usually a few specialty groceries are required.  The Salade Nicoise is one of my favorite recipes-and although I do take the liberty of substituting some of  the ingredients, it is always a bit hit with family and friends!

You Are What You Eat

Dr. McKeith is passionate about what goes into our bodies.  This is reflected in her very informative and handsomely presented document. This marvelous book will inspire you to examine the food that you eat and how it fuels your energy and spirit!
